A Bright New Star: Jessie James and a GIVEAWAY!!

Wow...where do I start about this girl?? I met Jessie when she was 11 years old. Yikes...that was 10 yrs ago! lol I was working in a drop in daycare center and her mom dropped her and her 2 siblings off for the day. The kids were nice and I think they liked me. When mom picked them up she asked if I babysat and I said of course. Long story short, I ended up watching them a couple times a week for about 6 months. Mom worked in television and she traveled so she would sometimes be gone overnight. I simply came to love these kids...they weren't too sure about babysitters at first but they quickly came to like me. We always had tons of fun! Jessie was a singer even then...man that girl could belt it out like I'd never heard before. She used to yodel, sing Christina Aguilera, sing Britney better than Britney sings and lots of country!

Sydney(9), Jessica(12) and John(6) (this was the last time I saw them)

She never really liked school and the girls were mean to her. (They were just jealous!) I always knew this girl was going places! After about 6 months, mom had met a great guy and they were getting married and moving to Georgia. I was SO sad to see them go...we kept in touch a little over the years but I found her about 3 years ago or so on myspace and was SO excited! She was still singing and doing her thing!

She entered a Grammy contest a couple years back and I just knew she was about to BUST out into our world of music! Not only does this girl have MAD talent.. SINGING, writing her own music and PLAYING guitar, but SHE IS GORGEOUS!!! I am SO happy for her and there was NEVER a doubt in my mind this girl would be a BIG STAR, be blowing up ALL over the place!! Everywhere I look, there she is on TV, I hear her songs on the radio all the time, on movies, on TV shows. OH and just yesterday she was PERFORMING on the ELLEN show! :o) I URGE you to GO out, buy her album, buy 5 copies and listen to the ENTIRE thing! The entire CD is rocking and I guarantee you will LOVE her music! She's a little country, a little pop and a little rock and roll!! CHECK OUT HER WEBSITE!!!

HOLY MOLY!!!

WOW....its been forever since I have blogged ANYTHING!! I am SO sorry! With all this moving stuff and getting settled I have just competely pushed blogging aside! I will be back this week or this weekend to post our new adventure SO far in PICS!! We have a NEW STATE, NEW CITY, NEW JOB (for the hubby), NEW FRIENDS, NEW HOUSE and A NEW LIFE!! Whew...I am just tired from thinking about it!!

Well...what can I say about these 2??? Meet Madison and Shayne! They are my niece and nephew, Madison is 12 and Shayne is 15 now. This picture was taken last summer...they are SO much more grown up now...kinda scary!! These are the BEST kids EVAH' and I love them with all my heart!!

Ok, I am just loving this Blog Hop thing!! I have a FABULOUS EASY recipe for you guys this week!! And by EASY...I mean SOOO easy!!

Yummy Meatballs

1 Bag of Frozen Meatballs (italian or regular)

1 Jar of Med. Size Grape Jelly

1 Jar of Chili Sauce (found by the ketchup)

Get out your crockpot, dump in the meatballs, grape jelly and the chili sauce and turn it on high until the grape jelly is liquified and the meatballs are cooked. Stir it up and THATS IT!! The longer you let them sit in the sauce the TASTIER they are!

These are SO good...I promise if you have these at a party or football game you will NOT have one SINGLE one left!!

Praying for Kate.........

This is Kate McRae. She is 5 years old and an absolutely GORGEOUS little girl and full of some much life. Just 15 short days AGO she was a normal, happy , thriving child until they found out she had a brain tumor. She was immediately taken into surgery to remove what they could but she has a LONG road ahead of her. Please pray for Kate, her mom and dad (Holly and Aaron) and the rest of their family.

I stumbled across their story from Kelly's Korner and I went the Kate's caringbridge website immediately and read Holly and Aaron's journal from the beginning and just prayed and cried out to the Lord for this family. I do not know them but I cannot imagine then pain, hurt, hopelessness, helplessness and shock they are feeling. They are a Christian family and are asking people to cry out to God in prayers for this sweet little angel. They have a lot of faith in God, believe in the might power of prayer and the all soldiers that are faithfully praying. This story has touched my heart in a very profound way and I am continually praying for Sweet Kate.

Please look at her website, know her story, pray for their family and keep this little girl in your hearts as she battles the fight for her life. Please feel free to send them emails, cards, notes, ANY THING to help lift their spirits. I will post an address to the hospital at the end of the post and you can also email them through the website

Holly's (Kate's mom) email address in on the Caring Bridge website, please send her a note just to lift her up or let her know you are thinking about Kate and their family and you know her story. The more people praying the better.

This picture is from July 10th, the FIRST TIME she smiled after her surgery on June 30th.

1. I was adopted when I was born....my parents are one of the greatest gifts God has given me. I do not know my "biological parents" and I'm not sure if I ever will. My parents are my parents as far as I'm concerned. Adoption is SUCH a blessing!

2. I NEVER in my life thought I would make and design children's clothing and accessories much less have my own business. It is a true gift from God and I am so thankful! I love what I do and I don't think I could ever go back to a normal job! :o)

3. I know how to play the piano and pretty well. I started taking lessons when I was 5 years old and continued on for about 8 years or so. I still love to play and will own a grand piano one day!

She had a long full life with my Granddaddy and her 3 daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Granddaddy and her were married for 67 years. A true testament to a long loving marriage. First off...PLEASE tell me you are watching WIPEOUT!! OH MY GOSH..that show makes me SO happy. I literally laugh SO hard during the whole thing. Between the commentary from the host's (JOHN and JOHN), the contestants, the nicknames they give them, the obstacles and WELL....the WIPEOUTS!!

Lordy....I just LOVE this SHOW! If you want to see something during the week that is just plain hilarious...CHECK it OUT!! Its on ABC on Tuesday nights I believe. Let me know if you watch it...it is one of my hubby and I's favorite shows (and we don't watch many shows together!!)

Pause my music PLAYLIST at the bottom and watch this video. This is one of my ALL time favorite episodes from their VERY first season. I actually watched this episode last summer with my niece and nephew when they were visiting us in Dallas. To this day my niece will still randomly say, "Where's the POLE?" As a matter of fact she just said this past weekend when we were in SA! We laugh everytime!!! CHECK IT OUT...SO funny!!

Put on your Dancin' SHOES!!

OK...SHORT Post...but I had to tell you to all put on your dancing shoes, turn up your speakers and DANCE in the rain!! I am havin' one of those days where I am dancin' to the beat, thankin' God for this day, blessed for my family and friends and SO appreciate of my husband, my business and LIFE in general. glam R baby has been SUPER busy and for that I am SOOOO grateful!! I really do have AMAZING customers!! I had a BAD Thursday last week but I DECIDED that Friday that EVERYTHING happens for a reason and God is in control and he has COMPLETE control of my life!!! Its quite an amazing feeling!!

Ok...UPDATE on the Bentley BOWS!! Orders are still coming in for them ( SO THANKFUL!!!) and I had SO many orders that I ran out of one of the CRUCIAL ribbons for the bow! It should arrive this week and I can get EVERYONE else's orders out to them!! I am mailing 5 orders of Bentley Bows today!! WOOHOO!! PLEASE be patient....you WILL get them I promise...I was just shocked to see how many were ordered and that I RAN out of ribbon!! lol

THANKS again for all the support for Bentley...I know the Welsh Family appreciates it more than we probably know!!

Don't Stop Believing.......

Did anyone watch the PILOT episode of the new show Glee?? OH MY GOSH...I am in LOVE with this new show and SO excited for it to start in the fall. It is quirky, funny, and a feel good show for the fall! And one of my favorite things....SINGING and DANCING! If you LOVE SHOW tunes....you are going to LOVE this show!! It is a MUST watch for the fall!! TURN UP YOUR SPEAKERS and LISTEN TO A SONG FROM THE SHOW!!

Most of you don't know this but when I was little I ALMOST ALWAYS had the lead role in the church musicals...yes I was the one to beat always. I did share the spotlight sometimes but not very often. :o) I was always involved with choir and music in some way or another. I took piano lessons from like 5-13....OH HOW I HATED THE LESSONS!! BUT MOM...if you are reading this....you were RIGHT!! I am SO thankful and I LOVE to play the piano! Thanks for always pushing me and telling me just 10 MORE MINUTES! Man...I hated the EGG TIMER!! lol

Anyways....I am just SO pumped about this show....Brian and I are watching together and this is something he didn't grow up appreciating. He doesn't dance or ever sing, but music is one of the things I LOVE the most! I just love it! I always secretly wanted to be on Broadway. Even last fall we went to see a play/musical and I thought to myself how much I wanted to get back into it! But...alas it didn't happen. I am STAGE fright now! My best friend Lea made me sing karaoke TWICE in LA and I was SO nervous both times....I did it but I was petrified! I've been told I can sing but I don't know about that anymore! lol

Just wanted to see if anyone else watched Glee and what were your thoughts on it?? I can't for it to come on every week!!! Have a great holiday weekend!! Yeah FOR A 3 DAY WEEKEND!!

Wow! All I can say is WOW!! The Bentley Bows have been a HUGE success!! People have been coming out of the WOODWORKS to buy BOWS, donate money and to offer up free items and even give percentages of one month of work!! (More on that in a bit)

Thank you SO much to everyone that has supported this venture thus far! Thank you so much to Kelly, Angie, Cynthia and Brandi with B4 Photography for posting the Bentley Bow info on their blog....it has caused lots of traffic and some generous people buying BOWS! I started a BENTLEY SUPPORTERS post on the side of my blog!! It LITERALLY grows EVERYDAY!! I am just loving adding people and company's to the list!!

I am SO excited to be doing this for a dear blogger friend, Crystal with You and Me Plus Three. Her sweet baby girl, Bentley is having Open Heart Surgery on May 20th. I have been following Crystal's blog for quite some time now and I wanted to do something for them. I first met Crystal about 2 years ago. She was doing website/myspace design and I had her make my myspace. We lost touch for a while but have reconnected and I'm SO grateful. She is SO sweet and has such a beautiful family.

I wanted to do something nice for their family and for Miss Bentley. She was born with this heart condition and this MAY be on of several open heart surgeries but hopefully by the grace of God she will only have to go through this once. Their insurance apparently doesn't cover all of the surgery nor does it cover her VERY expensive formula or some Dr. visits/appointments. Apparently the FORMULA alone is CRAZY expensive and her Pediatrician has fought for the insurance to cover but they refuse.

SO...I have created 3 BENTLEY bows! HALF of ALL the proceeds for all 3 Bentley Bows will go back to Miss Bentley and her family to cover the costs of all their medical expenses. I know its NOT a lot but I felt like glam R baby needed to do their part in helping!! Here's an update for you! Grandaddy is doing much better...the Dr.'s overreacted and everyone else in the family reacted. My mom asked the Dr. on Sunday night if it was ok for my Granny to come see him in the morning and the Dr's response was he thinks it will be TOO late! WHAT? So anyways...PRAISE GOD...he is back with Granny and doing ok. His regular Dr. saw him Monday morning and he said he did indeed look bad but it could be 2 days, 2 weeks or a year. For now we are all relieved and thanking God it wasn't it his time yet.

This leads me to this amazing song I just put on my blog! I have become even MORE into Nickleback because my nephew, SHAYNE LOVES them!! This song really hit home for my feelings on my Grandaddy and on our current situation. With us moving to Vegas, people think we are CRAZY for leaving coorporate world, chasing dreams, not having 401k, insurance, etc.....BUT we LIVE with NO regrets....we have chosen this path and are SOO excited!! It is a bit scary but we are embracing it and going with it!

Like the LINE in this SONG, " EACH DAY IS A GIFT AND NOT A GIVEN RIGHT!!! Leave NO STONE unturned, LEAVE your FEARS behind.....and TRY to take the PATH less traveled BY!!"

We are LIVING by this and it is SO true...each day is a GIFT from GOD....DON'T take it for granted...tell your loved ones you love them, enjoy your family and loved ones, and LIVE LIFE!!!!

Prayers for my family please.....

Granny and Grandaddy at our wedding 5 yrs ago.

This is a first for me. Don't really even know what to say really. Tonight around 9:30pm my dad called me and said he had just got home from Corpus and that the move of my grandparents to a more 24 hour care facility went well, but Granddaddy's blood pressure had dropped significantly and he was rushed the ER by EMS. He is not doing well. The Dr. has told my family that his body is shutting down and they gave him 24 hours.

A little background....my grandparents had to move out of their home almost 2 years ago and they moved into a smaller home. They still needed constant care. Granny needs someone to make her take her medicine and use her oxygen and grandaddy needed someone to help him get around, get to the restroom, oxygen, etc. Slowly...things have been getting worse....they have both taken a couple bad falls and they recently went to 24 hour care at their home. It just wasn't working...they needed to be somewhere else where an RN could take care of them and get all the care they were needing. So this weekend was yet another move. Everything was fine and Granny did really well with the transition but not Grandaddy. I talked to my sister tonight and she said that maybe now that Granny was being taken care of that he felt like he could go. They have always been together, ALWAYS! I'm not quite sure how to deal with this....I've NEVER in my life had someone pass away that was family or someone that I was really close to. I feel like someone has hit me in the stomach. Please pray for my family and most of all pray for my Granny. I don't know how she will deal with this.....Brian and I will be heading to SA this week and then on to Corpus. I will try and keep u guys updated. Thank you so much for the prayers. (sorry if I'm rambling or not making any sense..)

Today as I sit at my friend's apartment in LA and do ABSOLUTELY nothing...I am thankful for the ability and opportunity to travel to see one my best friends. I am ALSO thankful for one of my very good friends and her family. We don't get to see them much but her and I had a VERY long conversation today about family, church, God and life. Her husband wasn't so sure about believing in God but lately he felt like something was tugging at him. He has been listening to a local pastor on podcast and I think God is doing work in his life. She was saying that they wanted to get back into church and start going again as a family. We talked about how much of a difference it is when you decide to include God in your everyday life. I AM SO guilty about not doing this on a daily basis. I get caught up in everyday life, busyness, and just not stopping to talk to God. I am working on it. Brian and I are very guilty of not finding a church home to worship at every week, we KNOW it needs to be a apart of our life we just need to do it! This is one of the reasons I started doing my TOTALLY THANKFUL blogs to be reminded of God in my life and to be thankful for the things in my life. I really want to stay grounded in my life and remember where I came from. I am TOTALLY THANKFUL for my friend and her family and for God doing work in their lives. They are ready God......Brian and I have handed this journey to Las Vegas over to God. He is in control and we are following. Thank you Lord for being a pat of my life and giving me a WONDERFUL family and friends. I am SO grateful!!

NEED I say more?? Is there ANYONE else on American Idol?? Seriously...I was SO bored this week with everyone except Allison and Adam. I swear...he is JUST amazing!! I still say he reminds me of Edward from Twilight!! Alright girls....WHO IS READING OR HAS READ the TWILIGHT Series??? OH MY GAWH!! I am NOT done..but LOVES IT! Anyways, back to Adam...they are people who don't like him and I just DON'T get it....HE is AMAZING!! He will there til the end if not win the WHOLE darn thing!! SO...as you know I am rooting for ADAM all the way to the end.

Sobbin' over Marley.........

Brian comes home tonight and has like 4 movies in his hand. We don't rent movies often but I figured since I was leaving for LA in 2 days that he was renting movies to watch while I was gone. I asked him what he got and he holds up this:

Of course I was SUPER excited because I have been wanting to see it but we just haven't gotten a chance too. For those who don't know or haven't scrolled down on the right side of my blog and looked at pics...we have the CHOCOLATE version of Marley...a Chocolate Lab named Sierra Madre Saydee Dixon. Yes...she has 3 names..LOL. She is our baby girl. We mostly call her Sissy girl.....and no not because she is scared of things...more like a daughter like term..like some call their daughters sissy. Anyways...she is our furry child, we love her SO much. She goes everywhere with us, sleeps in our bed on my husbands head or smack in between us. Now Sissy Girl did have her "Marley" moments when she was younger BUT nothing like the things Marley does...but we can relate to alot of it. Thankfully Sissy was never a chewer of anything much except her rawhides...YEAH!

She is now 5 years old and sweet as ever. She follows you wherever you go, sleeps, loves the water, loves treats, know when you are coming home, loves to lay out in the backyard and LOVES to give LOTS of kisses. She is SO spoiled and we LOVE her SO much...I can't even tell you.

So, back to the movie...WOW...it was SO cute and had so many great moments where I'm like, Yeah...I remember Sierra doing that. I will say that I cried SO hard at that movie....I looked over at Brian and he was crying too. After the movie was over Brian looked at me and said, "I'm SO glad we didn't see that in theaters!" I guess he was right because I would have been a HOT MESS with makeup running all over the place.

If you have a dog or a pet that you LOVE with all your heart and truly is a part of your family you will really LOVE and appreciate this movie. I have heard that the book ends differently from the movie but I'm not sure because I haven't finished the book yet. So...Please if you are a HUGE animal lover like me, GO out rent the movie, BUY it....it IS super cute and great for the family!!

Totally Thankful and EXCITING NEWS!!

Today I am Totally Thankful for the ability to give to others. I will write more about this later...but here's a bit of a SNEAK PEEK....glam R baby will be starting a couple new things and the proceeds will be going to a family that is need. I am SUPER PUMPED about this and am thrilled to be able to do this for this VERY special family.

Like I said I will give more details soon, so keep an eye for it....I hope to be able to raise awareness and some financial freedom for this family. Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Easter!!

Speaking of giving...what is one of your favorite charities or organizations to give to? Also...just for clarification, giving is NOT always a monetary thing....we can give our time, our special talents, a meal, a hug, a shoulder to cry on, a place to stay, or anything else you can think of. Thats what makes giving sop AMAZING...because no matter how much money you have or don't have...you can always give something in return...SMILES are free right???

Totally THANKFUL!

I was at our final LDI class tonight for Junior League and we had a guest speaker. LDI is a leadership development training class if you don't know! :o) Anyways, something the guest speaker said struck a chord with me. She talked about being THANKFUL everyday. She said that she has a gratitude journal that she writes in every night about the things that she is thankful for from that day! She was saying how much it makes a difference in her day, week, life! It hit me....I don't sit back and really think about what I am thankful for everyday, so I thought...well I don't have a journal...BUT I have a BLOG...PERFECT!! I took out my pen and jotted it down on my hand so I would remember to blog about it! I am going to try really HARD to post something I am thankful for EVERYDAY! This will be such a challenge for me, but I am up for it! Even if I don't post a regular blog I will at least post a thankful blog!

OOOHHHH...I am SO excited about this....SO...what are you thankful for??? I would LOVE to know! Feel free to start your own TOTALLY THANKFUL as well!! :o)

Birthdays....a little late!

I just realized the other day that I never posted about my 30th birthday! This was a SUPER big deal for me only to realize it wasn't so bad after all! :o) My hubby did all the planning for the party and did a fabulous job! All I told him was that I wanted a fabulous cake and for all my friends to be there. My birthday was December 16th, by the way...YES...a little late! HE HE

SO...my best friend from LA flew in for the festivities and Brian planned a nice dinner at one of our favorite places, Buca di Bepo in Frisco. Mmmm...Italian! I had a great time and the majority of my friends where there...some couldn't make it but I understand!! I was completely overwhelmed by all the gifts I received...it was SO unexpected! I had an amazing time and turning 30 wasn't so bad after all! :o)

Monday morning after my party, my precious niece was getting her tonsils out and I promised that I would be at the hospital. So...I took Lea to the airport at 5am on Monday morning and I made the trek to San Antonio...I made it in record time...I was trying to get there before she woke up from recovery. Anyways...I ended up staying about 4-5 days and her and I hung out alot....she couldn't talk so we played games and she wrote on her dry erase board! :o) My actual birthday was that Wednesday so my sister cooked dinner on my birthday! My dad, mom, Nonnie, Shayne, Mads and Tam were all there to help celebrate! 30 is NOT so DIRTY after all!! LOL

Home sweet Home in Vegas??

I NEVER in my life thought I would bring those 2 words together, EVER! Home and Vegas.....it is still very surreal but quickly happening. I can honestly say that I am happy about it but still really scared at the same time. I am completely trusting in God on this one though, Brian and I both are. This trip to Vegas was pretty emotional for me. It was SO exciting and SO fun, but it was also crazy driving around KNOWING that we were going to live there....WOW...what an emotional rollercoaster. We sat at the Bellagio the last night we were there eating dinner on the patio and watching the amazing fountains and I was just thinking that wow...I am going to live this...we can come here and have a super nice dinner ANYTIME we want...Vegas is like another world....there is NOTHING like it. I don't think I will want to live there forever..but it will be fun....IF ONLY I can TAKE ALONG my family and friends!! Man...that is THE hardest thing for me! I build such close bonds with the people I love the most...it is SOO hard to be so far away and not to be able to drive to see my parents over the weekend, for my niece and nephew to be only 5 hours away, to be able to drop everything and go to my sister's store....to have lunch with my BEST girls, dinner with my Jr League girls, going out with my fabulous gay friend Phillip, shopping with friends....UGH! This is the HARDEST part of all....BUT....I KNOW you ALL will want to come visit and YOU BETTER...DANG IT!!! Our DOOR is always open....Speaking of doors....WANNA SEE PICS OF OUR NEW HOUSE????????????

Ok...here's a little background on the house before I show ya pics!

The house is about 4 miles from the strip in a secluded perfect neighborhood. It is a 24 hour guard gated and that was very important for us. We wanted to be close enough to the strip but far enough so Brian can escape from the strip world. The neighborhood is quiet, has TONS of trees, a pool, tennis courts, walking trails and a clubhouse. Our house is a little strip of a street with about 8 houses in this rectangle. The house was built in 1978, its 3330 sq ft. , 3 bedrooms, 3 bath, an upstairs patio area, 2 outdoor living spaces downstairs, a built in BBQ, mini sink, fridge, pool and spa. It is the perfect house for entertaining and for that we are SOO excited!!!

Our house is SO small now and there is NOTHING in our backyard...so we are BEYOND thrilled about this house!! We also wanted to get a house that was big enough for all our family and friends to come VISIT!! We love to entertain, so that was important too......HEY FAMILY....THANKSGIVING in VEGAS?????? WE ARE BACK!!! These past 7 days have been a BLAST and actually super emotional for me!! I have SO many pictures to share and so many things to fill you in on!! THE BEST NEWS of the TRIP...we found an AMAZING house and it is SO up our alley! It will be ABSOLUTELY perfect for what we are wanting and for all those VISITORS we hope to be having!! Seriously....YOU MUST come VISIT!! I have a few new FAV Vegas spots and so much to tell ya!

But...I was going to post all about the house but my camera battery is DEAD, so I will be charging it ALL night and posting tomorrow! Just wanted everyone to know that we didn't forget about our blog...just had a NICE long WELL deserved VACAY!!

Pretty Damn Wonderful in San Antonio!

Your probably wondering whats up with my title....well I will tell you! My amazing sister has opened up her very FIRST store in the San Antonio area. It is called p.d.w. Designs hence the name PRETTY DAMN WONDERFUL. This saying originally came from my Uncle Bo who told Tammy a long time ago that she was PRETTY DAMN WONDERFUL! Cool huh?? And let me tell you....SHE really IS! She has had her fair share of ups and downs in the last 12-13 years and this is such a cool thing and a great accomplishment! She is NOT technically "my sister" but my ex-sister in law....BUT SISTER is a title given to one that has been SISTERLY, not necessarily by BLOOD! She is amazing and we are very proud of her. You know my niece and nephew I always talk about...she is their MOM!! Love ya TAM!

Ok....enough of that because when she reads it I'm sure she will cry! :o) My mom used to say that TAM would cry when she took the trash out!! LOL

OK...so about a month ago she officially opened her store!! YEAH! We went to SA for the GRAND OPENING Party and Ribbon Cutting...it was so great and we were SO happy that we got to be there! So...let me tell you a little bit about my sister and what she does that way you will have a better understanding of the store! She does interior design, staging, floral arrangements, Picture Art, painting, and MUCH more! She does something called "STAGING TO STAY" too....basically just redoing your home with your things and maybe some additional art work/florals, etc. She is REALLY great at what she does!! She was just here at my house last weekend painting for 14 hours a day and staging our house to sell!! It looks SOO amazing and our realtor was SO excited because he said EVERYTHING was PERFECT!!! He didn't wanted to change a thing!!

Ok...SO enough talking...I have TONS of pictures from that day...so here they are!!!

So remember the crying thing...my granny (who wasn't able to come) gave my sis this crystal candy dish for her store. Its was given to her by my Uncle's mom who has passed away...it was very special. And...yes you guessed...she cried! (me too, a little!)

OK......that was the party! It was a great day and she still has TONS of work to do...but its a great start!! The next time we are in SA I will take pics and see all the progress she has made at the store!! She just landed a GREAT redecorating job for a chiropractor in SA...he wants her to REDO the ENTIRE office, pick out paint colors and change every one of his rooms!! Yes...Brandi from B4 Photography has done it again! These are some recent pics of hers that include glam R baby products!! They are so adorable!! Remember how I was telling you about her Live Bunnie Sessions?? Well she opened them up a couple days ago and BOTH DAYS literally SOLD OUT in 24 hours!! Told ya they would go fast!! No REGRETS!!

You guessed RIGHT!! YES...we are moving to VEGAS!! Now...you may ask yourself, why are they moving to Vegas?? Well...here's the short story of why!

My husband started playing Texas Hold 'Em about 2 years ago and has been 100% hooked and obsessed ever since! He eats, sleeps, watches, and thinks poker ALL the time! He has gotten to the point where I am simply a poker widow on the weekend because he is at the casino every weekend in Oklahoma. (its about a hour and a half drive) Its not like he just goes for a couple hours...NO...he goes at 1pm on Saturday and comes home at 8am on Sunday!! It is crazy but he's usually bringing home a good chunk of change! :o) He is very good and is still learning and reading new things about poker everyday! This is HIS dream to be a PROFESSIONAL POKER PLAYER and I am behind him 100%! I know he can do it and we have decided to live life with NO REGRETS!! Now...most of you don't know my husband but your probably thinking to yourself...why on EARTH would you move to Vegas so your hubby can play poker....its a game of LUCK!

Well I'm here to tell you that I have one of the most logical and intelligent hubby's around. Poker is NOT about luck...its a game of patience and skill and yes some luck is involved but there is MUCH more to it! If my husband is 2 things...he is skillful and patient as ALL get out..hello..he married me!! LOL No seriously though..I have 100% faith in him and we have both put our faith in God and asked him for guidance with this move. Doors keep opening to make this move so we are going for it!! We are selling our house and we are making a ONE year commitment to VEGAS!! We will then reevaluate our situation and then decide what to do!! Obviously I can continue my business where ever we go so that's not an issue! Please pray for my family as we embark on this journey and one HECK of an ADVENTURE!! We are super excited and hope to be in VEGAS by May!!! I truly believe you will one day see Brian on ESPN playing poker with all the pros!! I am so proud of him for making this move and following his dreams!! I love you Brian!!! XOXO

I look forward to traveling to the surrounding states when Brian is not playing and just seeing all there is to see in Vegas! My best friend Lea, lives in LA so she is SUPER excited to have us only about 4 hours away! I am so excited to be able to see the BELLAGIO fountains whenever I want...it so beautiful!!!

Again...keep us in your prayers and thanks so much for all the wonderful support!! It will be SO fun to blog about all of our adventures in and around VEGAS!! VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!

What a HORRIBLE blogger I have been!! Yikes...I can't even believe its been SO long since I have written a single blog! WOW...I can't believe I got ANOTHER blog award!! This is the coolest thing ever!! These awards are SO darn cute!! Check out my new awesome BLOG award!!! Isn't is adorable?? 6 INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT MYSELF!

1. I am constantly washing my hands...they start to feel dirty and I need to wash them right away. Weird..I know!

2. I love almost all things LEOPARD print (not to be mistaken with a leopard..just the print!)!! Although I am very picky about the leopard print...sometimes it looks really tacky to me...so I guess you can say I am a leopard print SNOB! :o)

3. When I was a baby an elderly lady from my parents church hand made me a blanket. It is green, white and yellow. For some reason that blanket became my "LOVIE" and I still have it to this day and still sleep with it. It is now the size of my palm and it basically all tied together.

4. I was adopted. My birth mother was 17 when she had me. My parents adopted me the day I was born and it was a closed adoption.

5. My name is Amanda Noelle but I have NEVER gone by Amanda, I always went by Noelle. Every new school year the teacher would call role and say "Amanda" and I never responded...LOL They figured out really quick I went by Noelle and not Amanda.

6. I am obsessed with BIG, FUNKY jewelry and handbags! I ALWAYS have on tons of jewelry and I am in love with Louis Vuitton. I have a great new collection of LV's started and I have TONS of jewelry! I like anything BIG, sparkly, different and OVER THE TOP! Sounds like my business...glam R baby!!

Christmas Spirit

It really is Christmas time already. I can't even believe it. I t seems like each year the year goes by faster and faster! Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. I love the twinkling lights, the music, the joy and the celebration of Jesus Christ. I LOVE giving presents and picking out the PERFECT gift for my loved ones. So...to get everyone in the mood I put new music on my blog and I AM DOING A GIVEAWAY!! This will be our first Christmas giveaway BUT not the last!!

2008 Junior League of Plano Soiree - SO BEHIND on blogging BTW!

Every year Junior League has a gala or soiree. This year it was in McKinney in an old historical building. The McKinney Cotton Mill was beautiful and basically a BLANK canvas for us to decorate! The dinner was catered, there was an open bar, great friends, a band, a live and silent auction, a cigar/whiskey bar and several guest speakers!! I am on the 'neath the wreath committee this year for decorations which included ALL the decoration for the soiree, so we had ALOT of work to do!! It turned out great, and we had lots of fun!! :o)

OK....this will be short! I have done it..I have run myself ragged and now I have NO voice and I am SICK! For those of you who know me...you KNOW I like to TALK ALOT (no JOKE) and this whole NO voice thing is KILLING ME!!! So anyways...the Halloween Onesie/Tee giveaway is OFFICIALLY CLOSED! OK...I have TONS to blog about!!

1. We had a Jr League Gala this weekend so I need to tell you all about that and add pics! Plus...I am on Decorations Committee so I will share some awesome event decorating tips!! :o)

2. I made Emma Kelly her 2nd birthday party outfit so I will reveal that and hopefully some pics of her in it as well!! I was totally bummed to miss her birthday party on Saturday but it started at 3:30 and the gala was at 6:00pm on Saturday...there was just NO way! Anyways...I met up with Kellie last week to give her the outfit and she LOVED IT!! So I will have pics to share SOON!!

3. OH MY GOSH! I went to the NEW KIDS concert on Sunday (with out hardly any voice) but I'm SOO glad I didn't miss it! It was amazing! I have tons of pics and lots to write about!

4. A BRAND NEW CONTEST that will only last about 3 days!! YEAH FOR FREE STUFF!!

Miss Madison Baye

Ridiculously funny, beautiful, sweet, sassy, talented, caring, fun-loving,creative, charming, spoiled, smart, animated, a drama queen and SO MUCH fun to be around! These are just a handful of words that describe my niece, MADISON BAYE. We call her Maddie, Mads, Baye, number 2, brat, Baye-Baye, and Madison. She is 11 going on 25. Seriously...she is SO funny and an absolute HOOT! She is gorgeous...we always tell her 14 yr old brother, Shayne, that SOON..he will be beating his friends off with a stick! Shayne is an amazing big brother..sure they fight..but man..they are so close and I hope will always remain that way! She sure does get on Shayne's nerves though! LOL But..I suppose that is perfectly normal! We are so fortunate to be able to spend about 3 weeks with them over the summer. We have been doing this since Brian and I have been married. I think this was the 4th annual summer trip to Dallas! We have tons of fun and get to spend great quality time with the kids! We look forward to it every year!

WOW...what a great video. Turn my playlist off and watch this video. I have heard numerous people say: Well..I'm not going to vote, but I don't want McCain or Barack to be President! Well..HELLO!....if there is someone you don't want to be president then why don't you VOTE! These are the people who will complain later about the issues of our country, the economy, gas prices, war...but THEY WON'T VOTE????? Makes NO sense to me! I don't care who you VOTE for...JUST VOTE PEOPLE!!! Make a stand for what you believe in, what YOU think is important! Our future, our children's future, our children's, children's future is on OUR hands...SO JUST DO IT! We live in a free country and are given the PRIVILEGE to vote..SO VOTE!! Vegas BABY...VEGAS!

Awwww..the Las Vegas sign. We miss you Vegas. WE had SO much fun that I can't wait to go back and actually we are already planning another trip! Feel free to join us...really we had so much fun that hope to go at least once a year!

For those who didn't know this trip was planned as a surprise trip for Brian's birthday! We were actually in Vegas on his bday which was really cool! I had been planning this for almost 5 months and YES...I kept my mouth shut about it the WHOLE time! It was very hard because we tell each other everything! So, needless to say he was SUPER surprised and REALLY in disbelief. He just kept saying.."We are going to Vegas?" I told him we were going to Vegas on Thursday night as we sat down for dinner. I had found a music birthday card that had playing cards on the front and it sang "The Gambler". I put some Southwest drink tickets in the card so when he opened it he was immediately confused. He said, "ok..what is going on?" Then I screamed, " WE ARE GOING TO VEGAS TOMORROW!" He freaked out and couldn't believe it! I totally surprised him!Also..Brian's best friend Stacey went with us and my best friend Lea flew in from LA and met us in Vegas on Saturday! We had a blast and were so glad our friends could join us! He was even more excited because he knew he would get to play ALOT of POKER.

If you know my hubby, you know he wants to be a professional poker player, LIKE FOR REAL! He is very serious about this. I believe in him 1,000%! So, anyways...we had a great time and enjoy all of our pics!

Bad Blogger of the Month!

Ok...so I guess I should get that award...yes its been a LONG time since I blogged. I am seriously going to try and get better at this. I actually LIKE it but sometimes its hard to find the time to sit down and write about me. Anyways...SOOO I have noticed since I started this blog that there has been nothing about glam R baby...so I will fix that today!

This is me and my amazing friend Brandi!!

My great friend Brandi who is also an AMAZING photographer takes lots of pictures of all things glam R baby. Including but NOT limited to outfits, headbands, tutus, NEW ideas and MORE! She also refers me to ALOT of people so they will order stuff strictly for their session with her! We have a great friendship and business relationship!! LOVE YA BRANDI!! WEIGHING HEAVY..................

Wow...this has been weighing heavy on me for the last couple weeks in waiting for "this" day. Sometimes I get so caught up in everyday errands, busy-ness, work, family that I forget to STOP and remember how I felt that day and how I wanted to just cling to my friends and family. I remember just being in shock and having a great feeling of absolute disbelief.

Now its 7 years later and I have this lump in my throat as I watch videos and listen to news reports from that day. It has such an impact on me still and everyone else for that matter. Its a day NO ONE will ever forget.

I pray for the families who lost loved ones. They were moms, dads, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, husbands,wives, grandaughters, grandsons, grandparents, aunts, uncles, step sisters, brothers, moms and dads. They were people like you and me and they deserve to be remembered always. Things like this put piddly things in perspective for me. So what if I didn't get enough sleep, so what if I don't feel good, so what if I can't get everything done that I want to, I'm here.

I pray that September 11th, 2008 is a beautiful day of rememberance and dedication to all of the heroes, and HEROES they ALL ARE. Thank you God for my life everyday and please Lord be with everyone as they remember and dedicate this day to all that were lost. Help us to remember what is REALLY imporant and to remember that sometimes things AREN'T SO bad. God Bless everyone.

Frio 2008

I could use a break from working so I guess I will post some pics from our recent vacation to the Frio River. Most people have NO clue what the Frio is or where the heck it is. It is about 1 1/2 hrs from San Antonio and we go to a placed called CONCAN. YES!! CONCAN, not to be confused with Cancun. People ALWAYS say that...sheez! Anyways, so I have been going to the Frio River since I was 2yrs old. We stayed at Garner State Park and actually "camped" back in the day. It didn't last long though because my mom needed the A/C, potty and kitchen! LOL So as I got older my mom's side of the family started planning a trip there every year and we all stayed together in a big house. We always had a great time but as the "kids" got older they started having their own kids we kind of just stopped going. So, after Brian and I got married I was convinced to start going again every year and that is what we have done!!!

Its one of my ALL time favorite places to be! WE had an absolute blast this year and can't wait to go again!

Every year we take my niece and nephew, Shayne and Maddie and we always have SO much fun! This year we decided to stay longer and we were there for 5 nights! My parents came on Saturday and hung out with us all day and then my sister, Tammy came up Saturday night and stayed until early Tuesday morning. The river was down this year but we made the best of it. We did get to go tubing, which was a blast, and basically all we did was swim, relax, drink and enjoy not being able to use our cell phones or Internet!! It was FABULOUS!

The kids had a great time as always. I hope they have great memories of the Frio River like I have always had. Our hope is to continue to go when we have our own kids to pass on this love that I for that place. Its all about family, friends, fun, relaxing, drinking beer, music and floating the river. Its a nice trip away from reality. Frio..we will miss you until next year!! :o)

MINDLESS MONDAY!

Ok...well its technically NOT Monday anymore but here goes with my mindless posting. Monday's are definitely for the mindless, except today because most of us had a HOLIDAY today! YEAH! Even though I don't technically "go to work"..anyways..enough babbling. We went to Ennis this past weekend to see Brian's family. We did some shopping (nothing else to do in those parts), visiting some family and that's about it. It was great to see Brian's uncle,cousins and their kids. We don't see them too often so that was a surprise. It was kinda nice to do nothing. SIGH.

I think I will just ramble this evening. Let me tell you about something great I found and BOUGHT recently. Its called a MOMagenda, but they also have them in a MYagenda version as well. They are SUPER functionable and SUPER adorable! Last year I actually purchased the MOMagenda because the boutique I bought it from didn't have the MY version. It was HOT PINK and fabulous! It has sections for kids, activities and I love the planners that have the MONTH at a glance calendar and the daily one. LOVE IT! So this year while at Canyon Lake visiting my fam, Maddie and I found this brand new boutique and they had the MYagenda in NONE other than LEOPARD! You know I snatched that thing RIGHT up! The awesome thing with it is that it started in AUGUST 2008 instead of January. SO cool!! This is what my agenda looks like but they actually have LOTS of selections to choose from and let me tell you...if your like me and you still like to write in a calendar (as a planner) instead of using a Blackberry/iphone/Palm (and I have a Blackberry..LOL) then this is for you!! Entering the BIG,BAD world of blogging!

WOW! I didn't think I would ever do this, but it looks SO dang fun and I could really use another place to tell you all about my fabulous business and our FUN life! So...here is the first official post! I need to contact me web lady to spruce this page up for me. Its so plain...don't you think? I think I will back trace on a couple of these first blogs. We just came home from our annual Frio Rver trip like 2 weeks, so I'm sure I will blog about that and ALL the new clothes/accessories that glam R baby has (pics to come) and we have TONS more going on!! I'll write back soon when I figure this thing out!! LOL Anyone know how to add the playlist (music) to my blog?? I can't for the life of me figure it out! Oh..and congratulations to my cuz Lindsay and her hubby Nate on Miss Addison Clare. She was born Monday August 25,2008 at 3:05pm. She weighed in at 6lbs and 10oz. Again...I will post pics soon!! She is beautiful guys...we are SO excited for you!
